The Finnish Society on Media Education organizes My Media Playground-seminar in Tampere on 14-15 February. The topic of the seminar is 0–12-year old children's media use, media skills and best practices of media education.

Finnish Society on Media Education publishes regularly books and other publications about media literacy. Most of them are published in PDF format as well.

The UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education commissioned the Handbook  'Pedagogies of Media and Information Literacies' to the Finnish Society on Media Education. The Handbook is produced by Finnish media education professionals and it is intended to become a useful tool that would equip teacher training institutions and facilitate teaching media and information literacy in teacher training.
